The Essence of Lent Season
The Lent is described as being forty days long. It represents the time that Jesus spent in the desert before the beginning of his public ministry, where he endured temptation by Satan. There are traditionally forty days in Lent which are marked by fasting, both from foods and festivities, and by other acts of penance.
But observe the world, they are rejoicing. For them, this is the time for relaxation. There are the long holidays which they would surely take advantage. Airline companies offer travel promos. Hotels and restaurants are also offering low rates on foods and services. So, how can you resist those tempting offers?
What is the real essence of Lent? Lent is considered as a season of prayer, penitence and self evaluation. For the Christian world, it is the time to rethink ourselves. We must reconcile with God. We need to remember what God has done for us – his sacrifices and the life of his Son, Jesus Christ!
Have you forgotten John 3:16?
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Is this act insufficient for you to believe that God really loves you?

Nice to have you acknowledge the fact that Lenten Season is that which we must abstain from food and excessive merry. We must also have it in mind that; it is a season of penance, a time we ought to ask for forgiveness from the people around us that we may have offended either by words or actions.
Be that as it may; we owe it a duty to overcome the temptations of drops in price of fast foods and and their likes.
Your determination to abide by the dictates of Gods makes you a true son. abide in His words!
